Summer Field Operations in Full Swing...

- The INTRAA Field Ops Team capped off the month of July with a road trip to Fort Wayne Pride. (Read about our trip in MatthewDC's blog post). The trans community in Fort Wayne is growing increasingly active! If you want to get involved with local organizers, you can contact them at transfortwayne @ intraa.org.
- INTRAA members attended the Columbus Human Rights Commission meeting along with members of the local Gay/Straight Alliance to participate in the discussion on adding gender identity and sexual orientation to the Columbus Human Rights Ordinance.
- At the July Board Meeting, INTRAA appointed new committee leadership.
- INTRAA members networked with local GLBT individuals and organizations at the Columbus Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) Pride Picnic.
- Sadly, we said goodbye to board member Bree Hartlage who is moving to Pennsylvania this month for a better employment opportunity (we'll miss you Bree!). Bree was instrumental in getting gender identity added to the Bloomington Human Rights Ordinance this year.
- INTRAA's REEL GENDER Film Series premiered our first film, TransAmerica, at our second screening venue Central Christian Church in Indianapolis.
- INTRAA networked with local GLBT individuals and organizations at the Bloomington Pride Picnic.
- Launched a redesigned INTRAA.ORG with added features such as discussion forums and community blogs to enhance community networking and educational opportunities.
- INTRAA announced the hiring of Bruce Parker as our new Advocacy Coordinator.
