Join us for the 16th Annual Southern Comfort Conference in Atlanta GA. Here you’ll find support, information and friends in a welcoming atmosphere of Southern hospitality. Vendors, authors, entertainers and leaders from the entire spectrum of the transgender community will be on hand for five days of learning, networking and fun.
Daytimes are given over to an extensive program of informative seminars, shopping at the large vendors’ area and group luncheons that feature entertaining and provocative speakers from the leadership of the transgender community.
Registration is now open for the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force's 19th Annual Creating Change™ Conference, which will be held in Kansas City, Mo., Nov. 8–12, 2006. Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) activists and allies are urged to attend. The early registration rate is available until Sept. 7. Reduced prices are available to those with limited income. The registration form is available at www.creatingchange.org.
The Creating Change™ Conference is the LGBT movement's annual conference, attracting thousands of activist leaders from across the nation. The program educates, challenges and supports LGBT activists to build grassroots LGBT political power. Creating Change™ heads to the heartland this year to help build a movement in an increasingly LGBT-unfriendly area.
INTRAA will have a table at this event and encourages trans folks and allies to attend and participate in the discussion!

(SEATTLE, WA) FTM 2006: A Gender Odyssey is a national conference for masculine-identified people who were assigned female gender at birth. It is a place for us to gather together, share our lives, learn from one another, and celebrate our communities. This conference offers a variety of workshops and discussions addressing the practical aspects of trans lives. Accompanying events include a vendor fair, art exhibit, BBQ, cabaret, all-ages dance, and more.
This conference is also open to anyone interested in the topics to be covered. Whether you are new to thinking about your gender, well-established in your identity, FTM, trans, genderqueer, MTF, part of any of these communities because of the people you love, or simply questioning the role of gender in your life, FTM 2006: A Gender Odyssey is open to you.
This free event will feature: a presentation by Dan Funk, Executive Director of ICON; a panel discussion with leaders from local churches talking about their experiences in promoting more welcoming congregations; and a time for participants to dialogue with each other. Participants will leave with a sense of connectedness to like-minded individuals in the community and will create an action plan for taking the next steps in their congregation and beyond
