Description:

The 2006 Bloomington Multicultural Festival will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2006, from 11 am - 4 pm at City Hall at Showers Plaza, 401 N. Morton Street (City Hall at Showers Plaza is the site where the Bloomington Farmers' Market is held).

Throughout the afternoon on October 1st, the Plaza Commons will come alive with the culture and expression of Bloomington residents. The Bloomington Multicultural Festival will celebrate - through entertainment, food and activities - the diverse populations living in Bloomington. With the participation of a myriad of cultural organizations, performers and musicians representative of our community, the Festival will promote appreciation and respect for the value and strength of a diverse community.
Included in the festivities will be delicious international and ethnic foods, where festival-goers can sample foods from around the world. Many children's activities are being planned, to provide plenty of fun and educational opportunities for children to explore the wonders of diversity.

A varied line-up of musicians, dancers and performers will enliven the Plaza Commons and delight the Festival audience.
