Description:

Join us at our regular FTM social support meeting. FTMs and SOFFAs welcome. We follow a two topic format, having open discussion for the first hour and then splitting into two groups to discuss two different topics for the second hour.

Topics. The topics we will address at this meeting are:

Holiday Potluck and Picture Sharing Bring a dish to share if you like and your old pictures. This will also be time to share positive or funny stories about your experiences being trans; we’ll build up some positive momentum to head in to the holidays with.

Join us for dinner and further casual conversation after the meeting!

Start: 4:00 pm
End: 5:30 pm
Description:

The Day of Remembrance is held each year to honor Rita Hester, whose murder kicked off the "Remembering Our Dead" web project and a San Francisco candlelight vigil in 1999. Hester's murder — like most anti-transgender murder cases — has yet to be solved.

The Day of Remembrance raises public awareness of hate crimes against transgender people. It publicly honors and mourns the lives of transgender people who might otherwise be forgotten. Through the vigil, we express love and respect in the face of national indifference and bigotry.

As part of the ceremony, we ask that attendees bring flowers for use in the names reading.
